December has arrived, and with it Christmas, the time of year when generosity and kindness seem to take over the planet. That is why in Chattanooga’s NorthShore, authorities have launched the first event, Share Your Christmas, which will take place from Monday, December 1 to Friday, December 5. It is a campaign that involves local establishments and businesses, which donate a portion of the income they receive to the neediest neighbors.

Citizens are encouraged to participate by visiting places like Pizza Bros Northshore on Tuesday, December 2, Frazier Five & Dime on Wednesday, December 3, Stone Cup Café and Mezcla Cocina y Cantina on Thursday, December 4, and Tremont Tavern on Friday, December 5. The initiative encourages all participants not only to go to these establishments and contribute their bit, but also to take photos and share them on social media.

Share Your Christmas: NorthShore Shares

One of the good things that comes with December and the Christmas season is the spirit of solidarity and altruism. With this spirit, Chattanooga’s Northshore, with its beautiful views of the Tennessee River and its wide range of local businesses and food and drink establishments, has launched the first Share Your Christmas: North Shore Shares event, through which the profits made by local businesses and city establishments will be donated to the Chattanooga area food bank.

This campaign will take place from Monday, December 1, to Friday, December 5. Citizens are encouraged to visit the participating businesses in this campaign with the aim of contributing funds that will later be donated. More solidarity campaigns

Local 3 News and the Chattanooga Area Food Bank have had another year to launch one of the campaigns that raises the most funds for the food bank: the annual Share Your Christmas™ food drive. Through it, participants have until Friday, December 12, to donate to the food bank and fight food insecurity affecting 180,000 people across the Tennessee Valley and northeast Georgia. Donations can be made by scanning a QR code, donating at any participating Food City or Walmart, online, or even by calling or sending a message to 423-702-FEED (3333).

The physical locations where food or monetary donations can be dropped off are:

  • CHATTANOOGA: Chattanooga Area Food Bank Warehouse – 2009 Curtain Pole Rd.
  • CLEVELAND: St. Therese Catholic Church – 900 Clingan Ridge Dr. NW
  • DALTON: Chattanooga Area Food Bank Northwest Georgia Branch – 1111 S Hamilton St, Dalton, GA.
