PepsiCo has announced the launch of its next product. According to the brand itself, it will not leave anyone indifferent. This is the new soft drink Pepsi Prebiotic Cola, a drink that retains the original flavor of Pepsi, with natural prebiotics beneficial for the functioning of the digestive system. The company is committed to introducing healthy ingredients to meet consumer demand. That is why they have opted for prebiotic fiber, the caul helps feed the good bacteria of the intestine, improving intestinal health.

This new product will be launched with the original Pepsi flavor and Cherry Vanilla flavor. PepsiCo Beverages U.S., CEO Ram Krishnan said “We can’t wait for the world to taste Pepsi Prebiotic Cola for themselves”. This new release coincides with the purchase of the soft drink brand Poppi, so it is a year of good news for PepsiCo. In addition, also close the year 2024 with good figures with sales of brands such as SodaStream, Gatorade, Doritos, Lay’s or Quaker, reaching $92,000 million in net revenue.

PepsiCo

Founded in 1965 in the United States, PepsiCo is headquartered in Purchase. It is a multinational company specializing in the manufacture, marketing and distribution of beverages and snacks. With presence in more than 200 countries and territories, it offers a wide range of products from recognized brands such as Pepsi, Quaker, Gatorade or Tropicana among many others.

New launches

The market has received news that PepsiCo is launching a new product, and it has surprised both brands and consumers. According to the company, which has been satisfying the demand of thousands of consumers for more than 120 years, it is a product that contains ingredients beneficial to health, without calling into question the original taste of Pepsi.

Pepsi Prebiotic Cola

The product in question is the Pepsi Prebiotic Cola. It is a different soda to the others, since among its ingredients are a novelty on the market. The brand describes its composition in 5 grams of cane sugar, just 30 calories per can and 3 grams of prebiotic fiber. In addition, PepsiCo ensures that they do not carry any type of artificial sweeteners. What is prebiotic fiber? It is the fiber that serves as food for bacteria found in our digestive system, which improve our intestinal health and digestion.

Why this change of ingredients?

Consumers seem to be increasingly aware of the food they eat. This is evident when choosing products, where consumers increasingly opt for those that are natural, chemical-free and unprocessed. Companies are aware of this new and healthy dynamic, so they have no choice but to adapt as much as possible. That’s been the case with PepsiCo (if a sugary soda can be a healthy option). With this product they have tried to merge the original taste of their product with the customers new needs. The CEO of PepsiCo Beveragues U.S., Ram Krishnan, stated “Prebiotic Cola represents a breakthrough in offering consumers choices and functional ingredients in their cola experience, without sacrificing the iconic Pepsi flavor that characterizes us”. The company is so confident that the product will be a success that Krishnan added “We can’t wait for the world to taste the Prebiotic Cola Pepsi themselves”.

When will it be on the markets?

The launch date has been estimated at the end of this year 2025, so early 2026 is expected to occupy supermarket shelves, available in individual cans or packs of 8 cans. This is undoubtedly a key year for PepsiCo, as the launch has also coincided with the purchase of the soft drink company Poppi. Over the past year, PepsiCo’s revenues reached $92 billion from sales of brands such as Mountain Del, Quaker, Gatorade, Lay s, Doritos or Cheetos, among many others. Are you looking forward to taste the new product?
