Can you imagine being able to visit a super McDonald’s? Well, it’s possible if you live in or visit Orlando, Florida. This new establishment has been nicknamed “Epic McD,” and located in Central Florida, it spans almost 20,000 square feet across 2 floors. You can find it at 6875 W. Sand Lake Road, and unlike other restaurants in the same chain, it is the only one in the country that includes variations in its menu, such as pizza, pasta, tortillas, and cheesecake. This is not a new opening, as it was inaugurated in 1976.

After a time closed, with a good renovation and a fresh coat of paint, it reopened combining the nostalgia of the design that was with modernity. The entrance lobby has a bar, and on the second floor, you can see a mural of Orlando and find the nostalgic character ‘Mac Tonight’. Eating at Epic McD is not just a formality, but it has become a whole experience. Besides the usual menu items, it also features an Arcade game area where both children and adults can enjoy themselves. It has undoubtedly become a must-stop for both visitors and locals.

Mc Donald´s

For better or for worse, I don’t believe there is anyone on planet Earth who hasn’t heard of McDonald’s at least once, not to mention how many have tried it. But just in case there is someone clueless, it is a global chain of fast food restaurants specializing in hamburgers. It operates under a franchise model and has thousands of locations in over 100 countries.

It was founded in 1940 by brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald. It was from 1955 onward that businessman Ray Kroc began to transform it into the giant it is today. There are over 43,000 establishments of the chain all over the world, making it very easy to find one both in your locality and even when you’re on vacation in the most remote areas of the world.

Epic McD

The establishments of the chain are characteristic and maintain the same design wherever they are. However, they are not known for being particularly large. To see that, you would need to visit the establishment located in Central Florida, in Orlando. Specifically at 6875 W. Sand Lake Road, it is a two-story establishment with 22,000 square feet. The size and layout is one of the aspects that differentiate Epic McD from the rest of the McDonald’s establishments. This is not a new opening, as it first opened its doors in 1976. After a good renovation, it reopened, blending the design and experience of what it used to be with the modernity of today.

Not just about lunch, but having an experience

The layout of the establishment is completely different from what we are used to seeing when we visit a McDonald’s. The lobby of the Epic McD features a bar and a view of the pizza ovens. On the second floor, you can admire a mural of Orlando and find “Mc Tonight,” a marketing character from the 1980s. It also has a play area very different from the usual.

It consists of arcade games, which can be enjoyed by both children and parents. The menu also varies, as it includes products like pasta, pizzas, tortillas, and a delicious cheese selection. McDonald’s has managed to reinvent itself and offer a unique experience, both for visitors and tourists, as it has become a must-stop when visiting Orlando.
